Operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, EWR is a major international and domestic airport, particularly serving New Jersey and Manhattan’s west side. EWR is a primary hub for United Airlines and a key transatlantic and long-haul gateway to Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is located in Queens, New York, approximately 8 miles from Midtown Manhattan. Operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, LGA primarily handles domestic flights and some limited international service (to destinations with U.S. customs preclearance, like Toronto and Montreal). In recent years, LGA has undergone a massive $8 billion redevelopment, transforming it into one of the most modern and efficient airports in the country.

LaGuardia is a major base for Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, which operate the majority of flights out of Terminals C and B, respectively. Other carriers include JetBlue, Southwest, United, and Frontier.
Most common domestic destinations include Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Charlotte, and Dallas. International service is limited but includes Canada and select Caribbean routes.
